MCSSA legislative Conference
The first day of the conference, Tuesday, March 17 , is dedicated solely to hands on activities. This day includes speakers, educational moments, and collaboration. On Wednesday, March 18 attendees will meet with their legislators and/or attend a Capital tour.
This year, the MCSSA Legislative Conference will be held on March 17 and 18, 2026, at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Lansing, MI.

Conference Overview

Please Note
If you wish to meet with your legislator or attend the Capital tour, you must RSVP by stating your interest on your registration form (found towards the end of the registration packet)
Legislative Meetings
As part of your registration, we will coordinate meetings with the legislators who represent your county Wednesday March 18th, 2026 in the morning. These meetings will take place in their office. Capital Tour – We will be offering a tour of the Capital on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 in the afternoon.
Conference Schedule
A tentative conference schedule is included in your registration packet. Since the event is still in the planning stages, the schedule serves as a general guideline for the day. We plan to cater breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Speakers will be on Tuesday, only, with Legislative meetings on Wednesday
Hotel Recommendations
This year, MCSSA will reserve a room block at a hotel . When booking, please verify the state rate with the hotel and be prepared to present your MCSSA membership card as proof of eligibility. (MCSSA membership cards are mailed to the members from those counties who have submitted their due payment for fiscal year 25/26.

The registration form includes an option to contribute to the Scholarship Fund, which supports students pursuing a human services curriculum. Eligible applicants include children, stepchildren, grandchildren, stepgrand children, nieces, nephews, step-nieces, and step-nephews of MCSSA members.
